Was happy to find a weekend opening We had an event in S shore so was happy to be close. The camp is in the process of cleanup. Renovations still present. There’s piles of brush debris that needs removed still. The public bathrooms were clean but need to install more hand soap disp.only 1 for 4 sinks. $130.86 with KOA discount was too much for site 215. Checkin staff was friendly and professional. Site was tight, with our picnic table barely fitting between 215 and 216. Main building was under construction. Site was barely long enough, and we nearly blocked the truck in 218. Our site was un-level side to side. Bathroom was clean, but one stall was out of toilet paper by mid evening.

We stayed here May 28 -June 1, 2024. The website dos not indicate this is a "KOA" and there us a major renovation in progress. We booked a "pull thru" site which was unuseable due to another RV blocking the exit of the site. The sites are not big rig friendly. Roads are narrow, sites are not very level, lots of boulders and trees to navigate to park your RV.

This was an amazing stay the place has come a long way and is improving every day. The shining stars are the two lovely ladies Vivian and Yerika they made sure me and my group were taken care of and are huge supporters of veterans. Will definitely be looking forward to another stay with them as our hosts.

Still under renovation. I can imagine how it will be in a few years. The staff (family of 4) were awesome. Always friendly and accommodating. Even escorted us to our site and helped set trailer into the spot. It had a great tight knit feel to it while still being private.

Lots of construction- this KOa seems pretty expensive for what is offered. We stay at a lot of KOAs. I think this one is way overpriced. The people were so nice and they are trying- it was clean but for the price will look elsewhere.

The park is located in beautiful settings, 4 miles from Tahoe. Lot's of trees and buzzing down creek. The sites are spacious, flat, equipped with picnic table, fire ring and barbecue, charcoal griddle. Not all sites have full hookups so make sure to ask for one if you need that. The owners and staff are the nicest people I have ever met. Office with store are open from 9am until 9pm. Good Wifi.

Aside from the ongoing construction and road noise, we enjoyed our stay . Staff was excellent!!!

We stayed in their cabin. It was clean and tidy. On check in we had a concern with the metal stairs and our dogs paws and within 20 mins it was taken care of. The team here is super friendly. The store well sppointed. Surrounded by natural beauty and close to most attractions. The KOA is under renovation but will be amazing when finished. Would definitely return. Thank you:)

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The campground was clean but under construction. No swimming pool. The campground is a tight fit for larger RVs but the staff were extremely helpful helping each camper navigate the turns. I can say how thankful we are to ALL the staff, each one was knowledable and helpful. Beautiful sight backs up to a creek where you can fish. Forest area to explore

Staff was very nice, helpful and responsive. One of our sites didn't have a picnic table and tue staff brought in about 5 minutes. My 30 Amp power receptacle was upside down preventing me from connecting. Staff were quick to respond and remedy. They are also very visible in the campground assisting campers with backing into some of the tighter spots. We will come back.

Lots of work going on in the campground and there’s some inconveniences but it’s a great campground in a great location. The staff is great here. Friendly and accommodating. We’ll definitely go back.

We stayed right next to the stream. I think we got the best spot on all campground. The staff was friendly and helpful. The campground was clean and beautiful. We will definitely come back to this campground again.

It’s a beautiful KOA has a stream and I loved all the pine trees. The host was very nice. They are doing construction and the Worker parked around my trailer. I didn’t care for that. Also, the young men that were working there walked through my campsite a couple times I did not care for that either, but I did get campfire which I enjoyed a lot

This is a campground that has great potential but is a work in progress. Sites are wooded and picturesque. The earth sites need to be graded and need gravel, a rain you would have you camping in mud. A couple odd sites with electric boxes at the very front of campsite requiring an electric cord longer than 25’. Bathhouse was not bad but not cleaned and restocked throughout the day.

Excellent stay, only gave 4-stars because there is quite a bit of construction improvements going on. We arrived in early May with light snow on the ground, which was a plus for us. The river sounds nearby are great. Lots of trees/shade, not as level/more challenging, however, just a wonderful overall campground...with upgrades coming.

Great stay. Emery was very helpful and attentive. site was large enough for our 44 ft. 5th wheel, but only a few spots that would accommodate. Will stay here again if in the area. Overall appearance of the buildings was in need of repair, but that was superficial as everything that was needed worked and was available.

impressed with efforts and congeniality of manager. pleasant stay inspite of storm damage inhibitors which they attended to most important first...clean bathrooms and new picnic tables and site preparation. beautiful setting.

This is a new KOA, and still refining. Emory was fantastic w helping campers. We woke up to a flat tire. We're older seniors, Emory removed the tire, took my husband to town to get tire repaired and put it back on for us and would not accept payment. He said, "this is the right thing to do to help a camper". We cannot praise him enough. Close to Lake Tahoe and its beauty. Bob & Fay Nutte

Very nice Host. Help with parking. Answered all questions about anything and everything. Last time I stayed was 1989. I am glad I returned. I will return.

Great campsite! Spots can be tricky with large rigs, but our 36ft bumper pull fit so it can be done. amenities were clean and the kids had a great time exploring! They are remodeling so don’t be shocked that the lodge is still a work in progress.

There was no picnic table at our site. When I called and requested one, the person said he would be back in the afternoon and then take care of it. Note that those few hours were our only sunlight time with our kids in the campsite since it was cold otherwise and we were leaving the next morning The roads inside the camp were barely open to pass with a trailer due to lack of proper snow plowing.

The buildings and facilities have obviously been ignored for a number of years and so need a major overhaul. That said, the host was welcoming and obviously had plans to fix the place up. Maybe give a discount until that work is done?

Campground was a mess. There was tons of drama with management and people living in camp. Very disappointed

Had a great time, and due to snow there was only 1 other camper so we pretty much had the whole place to ourselves. The store was closed and we had full hook ups so we didn't need to use the onsite facilities so we couldn't review them. The camp host Emery was very nice and helpful. He checked in with us and made sure we had a great time.

I appreciate that the park had been affected by a recent snow storm but the guy was grumpy on arrival; no explanation of facilities (not that there was much open due to the storm). I feel that they should either declared themselves closed or a substantial discount should have been offered. $120 for what??!! Not a great stay. We were happy to leave early.

There's a mouse living in the cabin before us, they shouldn't be renting out the cabin in that condition. The management and the employees should remedy the situation before letting guests stay in the cabin, not expected this for the money they are charged us for a night.

I do appreciate that we were able to modify our stay to only one night and we got a refund for the second night. This KOA location is under renovations and should not be advertised as open until the work is completed.

Run down, lights not working, toaster oven out dated and nasty, no microwave, refrigerator out dated, coffee pot was dirty (nasty), dishes drying in a dish rack in sink, no curtains in places. All KOA’s we have stayed at in the past have been exceptional.

This place is wonderful, it's a wooded wonderland! This resort is along the river with many RV sites and lots of TENT sites. The workers here go out of their way to make sure you're happy…Emery is the best! The campground is very clean and going through some updating since it just opened last season after being closed for four years. It's an ideal location, tranquil among the trees with good restaurants down the street and a market. We liked the location since it's out of the busy zone but only 10 minutes to the lake! It's not big rig friendly. The lower loop can accommodate a few larger rigs but I would advise nothing over 40 feet for RV's.

I was here two nights over Memorial Day weekend, so it was a full house. Regardless, the staff was so friendly & helpful and the campground/facilities were always tidy. As a home base, the location is super convenient as you bypass the traffic that goes through the main street of South Lake Tahoe. It's also right next to a river, which we were lucky enough to get a view of and the ambient noise made it so easy to fall asleep. I didn't use any of the amenities other than the bathrooms as we spent most of the day exploring. The showers/bathroom stalls on the far side of the campground are a bit small, but you always have warm water. It's not too far to walk to the showers at the main office which were a more comfortable size. I would definitely stay here again.
