It was great, friendly. Maybe the front office could give more information than ' it's around the corner' or ' I don't know ' Other than that I would recommend this KOA and also I would go back. 100%

The cotton trees made a mess and got everywhere, the camp sites were nice with the table, chairs, fire pit, it was very expensive camping for what you got I checked the Hotel rates and they were close to the cost of the the camp ground, next time I might just get a hotel, because the camp ground is very noisy next to the highway/train and they are about the same price.

Great stay. The campground was clean and easily accessible. The people working were very nice and I havent seen cleaner bathrooms at a KOA. The campground is close to a highway and train tracks, and our cabin was right beside them, but it was still quiet. Would definitely stay again!

Very clean and beautiful campground. Although campsites that back up to the river are very short , close together and not much lawn. Also no camp K-9 at that end. Recommend going to the sites up the hill to the left of the office for more room. Easy walk to town ! All in all a very well maintained campground !!!

The camp grounds were nice. I asked if I could pay for a check out extension and was told that's not available. Lots of parking spots not used seemed ridiculous that I could have stayed an extra 2 hours that I was willing to pay for. Mary's camping is just next door I walked up and talked to them and they were willing to extend stays when requested. I'll stay there next time.

Beautiful, new, level site, laundry room and showers spotless. No trash pick up which is unusual for a "Holiday" level park. Also some trash(visible by playground) in common areas around the park that was never picked up by staff the 2 days I was there. High noise level due to road and train tracks otherwise a beautiful park.

This KOA is a hidden gem off the beaten path. Friendly staff, great location and very clean. Would definitely stay at this location again.

We stayed over Memorial Day weekend from Friday night till Monday morning. The campground is clean. It’s quiet within walking distance of all the major attractions. We will definitely be staying there again.

We were fortunate to get a deluxe cabin at the last minute over Memorial Day weekend! The cabin was great, clean very convenient to town and the river right behind the cabin was so relaxing! We will be going more often! The owners were very friendly and helpful when needed! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Office staff are so nice and friendly and help with anything you need. This camp site is so nice and quiet and close to town. Bathrooms are beyond what you would wish for, clean spacious and very nice. Always will stay at KOA east when coming to Lava!

The two young men who helped us at the desk were bound, determined to find us a spot. We needed only electric but tent sites provided 15 amp service when I needed 30. The site we were moved to, 91, needed more grading to make it level. This seemed to be the case in many sites. I applaud the owners for the improvements they are making but it might be a consideration to lower rates until completed.

Overall it was fine, but a very traumatic thing happened Friday night where a massive tree overturned next to my campsite. I almost left that night, but did not know where to go. I think you need to remove the trees that are along the river bank, as that was a life threatening situation that makes me uneasy to return. I was surprised no one checked on us Saturday to see how we were doing.

Site is beautiful, but, The reservationist AND the attendant mixed me up with someone else with the same last name. Double booked the tent site. The other person asked to be moved, the attendant canceled, rebooked the same site. I had checked in at 2PM but returned to an occupied site. The on duty person pretty much said to share the sites.Terrible process and few sites, little regard for tents.

Our second visit to this KOA. Helpful and friendly staff. Lots of construction and improvements being made but the staff made sure we were aware and minimized the impact. LHS is a wonderful place to visit and we will be back to East KOA again.

Lots of construction improvements going on, but looks like they are trying to make some good changes. This is a noisy place, with semi trucks air-brakes coming down canyon and lots of trains, even at night. Loud.

Just a beautiful little area. Super close and within walking distance of downtown. Friendly attendants. Clean place with lots to do as a family. We really loved it. My kids are asking when we can go back already!!!

Beautiful campground, well kept, right on the river. Really loud, being less than 1/8 mile below the well used train tracks. Super convenient to LHS downtown, just an easy 5 minute walk. $135 for a night at one of the middle of the road sites? Ouch. It'll be a tough sell getting me back there when a hotel room is the same price or less. Check your rates folks. It isn't a great value anymo
